For 2008 include:

Stan Ceglinski ~
The Artful Bodger
(NSW)

Billinudgel Woodworks
(formerly Mullumbimby)

Stan comes from a long line of "can do" people.  His mother taught him such a wide variety of skills covering both male and female traditional roles required for maintaining the basic necessities of life i.e. shoe and clothing making, crop growing and cooking.  His father taught him to think and use his hands.  These skills which were instilled at a very early age have equipped Stan with the guts, knowledge and determination to give "anything a go".

Stan Ceglinski, an Artful Bodger, as shown above is sitting on his trusty shaving horse" draw knifing Tasmanian Blackwood for legs on his prized seats.  While fashioning a comfy stool and demonstrating the use of Traditional Tools - his continual banter covers a wide range of "wood" related issues, including shingles, shakes, post and rail fencing along with liberal sprinklings of tall tales!
This 3 legged stool comfortably carried the 180kgs of Tasmanian multi world champion axeman "Dave Foster plus 30kgs of a child sitting on his lap, with his feet off the ground ... 210kgs load on a seat weighing a mere 2.3kgs.  Stan's stools are made to last.
Don't miss Stan's continual demonstrations along with his entertaining banter at his display area everyday at the show.  To locate Stan's display area check the information wall just inside the front door.

We could not be without the support
of our local Associations with their displays
of fascinating tools from yesteryear and present day
~ learn from their wealth of knowledge
that they share so generously.

Special feature displays
exclusively for the show this year are being presented
by the Woodturners Association of WA
~ the WA Guild of Woodcarvers
with their annual competition for
Woodcarving excellence - the Doug Shaw Award.

The Marine Modellers Association
will have more than 150 model boats on display
and you will be able to see some of them
in action on the indoor pools.
This is lots of fun for big and little boys!

Take a step back in time with the members of the
Hand Tool Preservation Society of WA.

The members meet regularly to learn how to restore old tools and
tell the tales of where they found them .

While at the Show you will be able to
start or add to your own hand tool collection

Remember one man's trash is another man's treasure!
