The ‘Out of the
Woods’ Competition and Exhibition
is W.A.’s premier woodcraft competition
organised by the Fine Woodwork Association to showcase the finest turning, carving and cabinetwork created in the state. On display will be beautiful turned bowls, intricate carving and fabulous contemporary and traditional furniture as well as beautiful boxes. Also within the exhibition will be inspiring work by high school students. Some of the work is large, some tiny, some is made from local timber and some from exotics but what unites all of the woodcraft on display is the makers love of the precious material we simply call wood.
