Ken Smith - Textile Artist - Tasmania

Very exciting news for the 2010 WA Craft Quilt & Stitch Show is that Ken Smith, textile artist living in Tasmania, will be visiting Perth especially for this show. Ken is an extroardinary textile artist with vast experience, amazing creativity and superb teaching style. We are fortunate indeed that Ken is able to fit this visit to WA into his busy travelling schedule.
You can meet Ken, see his work and sit on a two presentations per day during the show - July 30, July 31 & August 1.
Also there will be a two day - hands on Workshops held on Tuesday August 3 & 4.

User-Friendly Machine Embroidery
Any machine embroidery technique or pattern which gives maximum effect for minimum effort (as in constantly removing the work from the machine and then returning it, constant tying-off and/or trimming) may be called user-friendly. In this workshop , Ken explores a variety of such techniques, many of which are as suitable for quilters and machine embroiderers.
