Jenny is also a member of the superb TacTile quilting artist group who have been regular exhibitors in this WA show in past years.Come and meet Jenny and view her superb quilts, have a chat and enjoy the story behind each quilt.. Jenny lived for four years in Cairo and worked very closely with the Egyptian tentmakers - men who do superb fine appliqué panels which where originally used for lining tents. The art is dying and the Tentmakers’ Street which had 247 skilled masters in 1979 is now down to 45. Collections are not held anywhere in Egypt yet the work is stunning and beautiful. Jenny took exhibitions to Australia, France, and Spain and will talk about the history and development of the Tentmakers’ appliqué.
